Conditioning Your IOD Decor Stamps

Condition your stamps before their first use to help achieve a cleaner impression. Remove the protective acrylic sheet from the stamping side, leaving the stamps attached to their backing sheet. Using fine-grit sandpaper or a sanding block, gently scuff the stamping surface in one direction. Turn through 90 degrees and gently scuff in the other direction.

Positioning Stamps on Flat and Curved Surfaces

For flat projects, remove individual stamps from their backing and arrange them on an IOD Flexible Grid Mount Sheet to help with positioning. You can also leave designs on their backing, cutting the backing around each design separately. For curved or irregular surfaces, stamps can be used without their backing.

Practise your placement and impression on a spare piece before working on your finished project. Choose an ink or paint suitable for your surface, and follow the medium’s drying, curing and finishing instructions.

IOD Decor Stamps are made from food-safe material and can also be used for baked goods and sugar art. Never use the same set for edible projects and crafts. Keep a separate set exclusively for food use.
