This cast iron wall plaque celebrates the Manx Norton motorcycle brand. Made by Norton Motors from 1947 to 1962, the motorcycle was developed to win the famous Isle of Man TT road race. The Norton brand has a huge association with the TT race, contesting every year from the first event in 1907 right through to the 1970s. This garage plaque is carefully handpainted in black, with the message "The Unapproachable Manx Norton - The World's Best Road Holder" appearing in gold. Manx Norton has a special place in motorcycle history, and this plaque is a lovely way to commemorate that.
