Round Lidded Trinket Box

This little Round Lidded Trinket Box took us hours to create and we loved every minute! It is a totally unique, one of a kind project and would make a perfect gift for that special someone.

We used a lavender colour clay paint and white chalk paint to add French Country vibes. We decoupaged the lid of the trinket box using a dainty floral rice paper and crackled it to make it look like crazed porcelain. We painted the inside of the box and lid using the lavender clay paint and then added a vintage effect metal ball chain for a little extra decoration. We applied floral castings made with air dry clay from one of Iron Orchid Designs moulds and then we painted them. After sealing everything we applied various waxes to add interest and age. 

We finished off the trinket box by adding three decorative metal legs and a metal knob on the lid.

The Round Lidded Trinket Box is made from wood. (See last photo for 'before' pic).

It measures approx 13cm d x 6.5cm h (to the top of the lid)
