Black resin is perfect for making those dark and decorative castings which can be highlighted with Pentart Antique waxes or Paint Couture's Lux Metallic Paints. Black resin is the perfect base for an upcycled gilded frame - just use it with IOD Trimming's moulds - let a little of the black peek through for an aged look. What about making your own jewelry? Using Black Casting Resin will give you the look of Whitby Jet without having to go beachcombing! The options are endless!

Black Rapid Casting Resin 

Create detailed, professional-quality castings quickly and easily with Black Rapid Casting Resin by Paint Couture. This two-part synthetic urethane resin is specially formulated for fast casting and is ideal for DIY crafts, decorative embellishments, moulds, furniture projects and creative resin applications.

Simply combine Step 1 and Step 2 in equal amounts by weight or volume, mix thoroughly and pour into your chosen mould. For castings up to ¼ inch thick, pieces can be removed from the mould in 10 minutes or less, making this an excellent choice when you want impressive results without a long waiting time.

The resin cures in a rich black finish, making it perfect for creating striking decorative details or pieces that can be further painted, embellished or finished to suit your project. Black Rapid Casting Resin is available in 8oz and 16oz.

How to Use

  1. Measure equal parts of Resin (Part A) and Hardener (Part B).
  2. Mix thoroughly for the recommended time, scraping sides as needed.
  3. Pour into your moulds.
  4. Allow to cure - projects are ready in 10 minutes.
