Iron Orchid Designs - Velveteen Mini Stamp Set - RETIRED

IOD Velveteen Mini Stamp Set

Create vintage-inspired damask patterns with the Velveteen Mini Stamp Set from Iron Orchid Designs. This compact set brings together four damask designs for handmade home décor, decorative books and mixed media art.

Imagine a softly faded damask pattern on a decorative book cover, a framed paper panel with timeworn character or a keepsake box finished with an ornate accent. Use each design on its own, combine the motifs or repeat them to build a patterned background.

Ideas for your next project

• Decorate repurposed books, keepsake boxes and handmade gifts.
• Create damask backgrounds for journal pages and handmade cards.
• Stamp distressed-look paper and frame it with castings from IOD Trimmings 1 or 2.
• Explore fabric projects such as cushion covers and lampshades, using a medium suitable for your chosen surface.
• Press the designs into IOD Air Dry Clay for embossed craft details.

Using your IOD stamps

Use with IOD Decor Inks for your stamping projects. An IOD Flexible Grid Mount Sheet can support positioning and repeating patterns on flat surfaces. The stamps can also be used without their backing on curved or irregular surfaces. Test your colour, spacing and chosen medium on scrap material before starting your finished piece.

Preparing your stamps

Condition before first use for a cleaner impression. Remove the protective acrylic sheet from the stamping side, leaving the stamps on their backing sheet. Gently scuff the stamping surface with fine-grit sandpaper in one direction, then turn through 90 degrees and repeat.
