Using air-dry clay

Air-dry clay can shrink, warp and crack as it dries, adding an authentically aged, distressed look to your project. Lightly dust the mould with cornflour to help release the clay, then remove your casting while it is still moist and adhere it in position. For vertical applications, use low-tack tape to help hold the casting in place.

Using casting resin

Casting resin produces consistent mouldings without the shrinking, warping or cracking associated with air-dry clay. To shape a casting around a curved surface, remove it from the mould before it has completely hardened. Follow your chosen resin manufacturer's mixing, handling and curing instructions.

Food and craft use

IOD moulds are made from food-safe materials and can also be used for creative baking projects. Keep separate moulds for food and crafts. Never use the same mould for both.
