IOD Toadstool Decor Mould
Add a little woodland charm to your next make with the Toadstool silicone mould from Iron Orchid Designs. Create mushroom-inspired decorative castings for furniture upcycling, handmade home décor and mixed media projects, bringing a playful, nature-inspired touch to your work.
Imagine a cluster of toadstools decorating an upcycled keepsake box, a woodland accent on a painted frame, or raised mushroom details bringing a storybook scene to life. Use your castings as a small finishing touch or combine them into a woodland-themed design that feels entirely your own.
Ideas for your next project
- Create toadstool embellishments for decorative boxes, frames and furniture appliqués.
- Add dimension to woodland-inspired mixed media art and handmade gifts.
- Make decorative castings with IOD Air Dry Clay or casting resin.
Working with air dry clay
Dust the mould lightly with cornflour to help release your casting. Remove the clay while still moist and adhere it in place. For vertical applications, a piece of low-tack tape can help hold the moulding as it dries. Natural shrinking, warping and cracking can add an authentically aged, vintage character to your finished piece.
Working with casting resin
Casting resin produces consistent mouldings without the shrinking, warping or cracking associated with air dry clay. If you are applying a casting to a curved surface, remove it before it has completely hardened so it can be shaped to fit.

I've wanted this mould for a while and decided to treat myself !
I wasn't disappointed, the detail , size and variety of mushrooms is amazing . I've only tested with some clay I didn't like and they turned out amazing , even with rubbish polymer clay . Sara the shop owner messaged me straight away to thank me for my order and I thought that was really nice and awesome customer service , she kept in touch until my mould arrived which was next day .
I will definitely buy from Sara's shop again and my lovely little gift was such a lovely gesture . I am extremely happy with my purchase and shopping experience .
Thank you Sara , I'll be back soon
