Using air dry clay

Use with IOD Air Dry Clay for castings with a vintage, distressed character. Dust the mould lightly with cornflour to help release the clay, then remove your casting while still moist and adhere it in place. For vertical applications, low-tack tape can help hold the moulding while it dries. Shrinking, warping and cracking can occur as air dry clay dries, contributing to an aged finish.

Using casting resin

Casting resin produces consistent mouldings without the shrinking, warping or cracking associated with air dry clay. For curved surfaces, remove the casting before it has completely hardened so it can be shaped to fit, following your resin manufacturer's instructions.
